How long does a migration take?

A typical migration process is usually performed in under 2 days. To minimize interruption to business operations, we typically perform migrations over the weekend; however we will work with you to best accommodate your preferred schedule.

Please note: Migrations times may take longer and depend on the amount of historical data being migrated. We have never lost anyone’s data and we provide 30 days of free support after migration to ensure your email is up and running and just the way you want it. We ensure that your shared calendars, distribution groups, aliases, etc. are all in place with your move to Office 365.

How much does Office 365 Cost?

The cost varies according to your number of users and the Office 365 plan type you choose, but pay-as-you-go pricing provides predictability and flexibility. You can rapidly accommodate organizational growth or shrinkage, whether caused by changes to your existing business. There are no contracts and NYT can advise on the right Office 365 plan for your business.

What does Office 365 Include?

In general, Office 365 combines the familiar Office Professional desktop suite (always includes the latest versions of Office, so if you never pay for an upgrade) with cloud-based versions of next-generation communications and collaboration services: Exchange Online (email), SharePoint Online and Lync Online.

Office 365 is a comprehensive offering that includes too much to include here. However here are some of the highlights:

Do I need to install anything?

If your users Office 365 plan includes a subscription to Office Professional 2013, they will need to install Office 2013 Pro. (We can help you with deployment)

If your users utilize the OneDrive for Business client they will need to install and configure this tool. The OneDrive for Business Client allows your users to setup a sync relationship that will:

  • Synchronize a user’s OneDrive for Business Files between the cloud and the local PC
  • Synchronize SharePoint document repositories between the cloud and the local PC.

Once configured, this tool keeps the cloud and local PC synchronized so they contain the same files. For each synchronized library - files modified, added or deleted on the local computer are automatically updated to the cloud. In the same manner, files modified, added or deleted in the cloud are automatically updated to the user’s local PC.

Can I still access my document when I’m offline?

Yes, email and data from SharePoint document repositories can be stored as a local copy on your PC for easy access even when you’re offline. Once you are back online changed documents and your local email repository will be synchronized with the server.

Where is my data stored?

Office 365 leverages geographically dispersed data centers managed and operated by Microsoft. Each data center houses a reliable redundant infrastructure needed to support the service.
