NATIONAL INSTITUES OF HEALTH

FOR NYT, NO TASK IS TOO DAUNTING

Since 1998, New Year Tech, Inc. (NYT) has been a trusted technology partner to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), managing hundreds of thousands of physical property assets for the world’s leader in science and health research. NIH scientists and professionals operate worldwide out of 27 facilities to drive innovative discoveries in medicine and cures to the world’s most challenging illnesses.

When NYT launched services, the task to conduct a physical inventory of all of NIH’s accountable scientific, medical and administrative equipment was daunting. The sheer volume and range of items—think MRI machines, medical lab samples, gastroscopes--made conducting a physical inventory a superhuman task. The environment is complex and the equipment is highly sensitive.

NYT swiftly provided NIH with enhanced visibility and control of its assets. NYT custom-developed an affordable, state-of-the-art, software system backed by an expert team of highly trained professionals to help NIH easily guide, track, and record NIH’s inventory and physical assets.

NYT’s asset and logistics management solutions are so effective they have been the choice for NIH for the last 20 years. NYT is proud to know we’ve made a difference to NIH in their mission to prevent disease and improve health.

FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION & LOCKHEED MARTIN

NYT TRACKING SYSTEM BOOSTS AIR SAFETY IN THE NATION'S SKIES

NYT’s mission-critical solutions were Lockheed Martin’s first choice when they partnered with NYT to keep tabs on components assembled into computer systems used by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to ensure the safest skies in the world.

NYT developed a barcoding system that could instantly provide the location and usability of components used to make flight control systems—imagine thousands of microprocessors, computer cards, monitoring screens. Lockheed Martin was able to instantly pinpoint the exact location of any part in the assembling and testing process of the equipment whether it was in a storage facility or humming away in a computer system. NYT’s system monitored the lifecycle of each component, allowing Lockheed engineers to track parts that needed repairs, updates or scrapping in order to operate properly, providing an extra layer of quality assurance in the assembly and maintenance process.

NYT’s elegant solution allowed Lockheed Martin to manage one of the most sophisticated aircraft monitoring system in the world. NYT’s system was such a powerhouse, Lockheed Martin operated it for 13 years to support multiple FAA PROGRAMS throughout the eastern United States.

U.S. DEPT. OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT

NYT TAMES THE PAPER CHASE

For over 50 years, the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has provided thousands of communities with much needed quality housing through comprehensive home loan programs.

NYT helped this process by modernizing HUD’s system to process and approve mortgages, making the dream of homeownership possible for millions of families.

Prior to NYT, HUD labored under the weight of a massive amount of paperwork with no way to properly track each mortgage application. The system demanded an excessive amount of manual data entry and agents struggled to properly manage customer information, leading to errors and delays. There was no accurate way to give customers a clear picture of where their application was in the process. Even worse, operating the system was extremely costly—everything could grind to a halt if applications were temporarily misplaced, or lost. There was no real way to efficiently make corrections so HUD could improve services.

NYT tamed HUD’s paper-chase and saved costs up front: the company integrated the best of HUD’s existing technology into a new digital system that electronically filed and tracked each application, giving precision to the process, cutting manual data entry and accelerating workflow. NYT’s system allowed HUD the ability to analyze where files were getting hung-up in the process, improving efficiency. Best yet, files never vanished or went missing, instilling confidence and goodwill with customers and allowing HUD to focus on its mission “to create strong, sustainable, inclusive communities and quality affordable homes for all.”
